Beginning in Joshua 3:15, Pastor Magead Salloum of the New Testament Church in Rome, NY describes the duties of the men who carried the Arc of the Covenant. Just as they had to bear the great weight of a Gold encrusted Arc, they also bore the weight of the Law. It was their duty to adhere to do God's will and to stay steadfast, even as the waters of the Jordan rose about their feet, and had yet to part. As Men of God, and as the head of the household, we fathers are still expected to "Carry the Weight".
